How Accurate is MIMEShield as a Spam filtering solution?
MIMEShield has proven to be extremely effective with our installed customer base.  Spammers are constantly creating new ways to spam you and your users.  We are dedicated to keeping them from interfering with your company's day to day operations.
 
How does MIMEShield detect and block spam?
MIMEShield quickly identifies, analyzes and quarantines spam, using a combination of content analysis, public and private white and black lists, and electronic fingerprinting (for a more advanced description, visit our How It Works page).
 
How does MIMEShield limit the amount of false positives?
MIMEShield ships with several utilities specifically designed to eliminate the case of valid e-mail messages being quarantined.  We provide users with a synchronization tool to synchronize any address book with their personal safe list.  MIMEShield also can be set to capture who internet messages are being sent to, and will create a safe list entry for that e-mail address in the senders personal safe list, thus further limiting the nagging issue of false positives.
 
What tools are included with the product?
We ship our product with a starter fingerprint/pattern e-mail list in excess of 5000 spam campaigns.  We also include a fully customizable word dictionary already broken down into categories.  Lastly, and most importantly, we provide our customers with a list of known spamming url's.  This list is included in the company deny list, and is approaching 2000 different url's.
